The Roads section of the website provides you with links and information to roadworks, adopted roads, reporting a fault such as a pothole or broken street light and traffic calming schemes, amongst more. "Highways" (part of the Environment Department) formerly Engineering Service is committed to ensuring that Cheshire's roads and pavements are safe and well-maintained whilst continually improving the highway network as part of the integrated transport system.
Latest News:
A new webpage has been added under the Roadworks section of our website called "Road Watch - In and Around Chester City Centre". This webpage has been produced by Cheshire County Council to aid the movement of vehicles and pedestrians during construction work taking place in the City Centre over the next few years. We will list all known planned roadworks taking place, public transport information and the latest information about Chester Renaissance.
Roadworks Online Mapping
We are now using a map based system to show all current and proposed roadworks in Cheshire, including what we class as "High Impact Roadworks". These are roadworks that are likely to cause significant delays in and around the area of the roadworks, and will be added to the mapping webpages up to 3 months prior to work taking place on site.
Using the Roadworks Mapping you can view current or proposed roadworks on a street or near a postcode and information about its start and finish dates, roads affected, diversion routes available and traffic management.
