- ground investigations for new construction and maintenance projects;
- production of geotechnical reports for highways, industrial and; residential development, contaminated sites and drainage projects;
- earthworks and structural foundation design and certification;
- slope stability assessments and the design of remedial measures;
- NAMAS - accredited laboratory (covering the testing of bituminous materials, aggregates, drain stones and concrete; chemical analysis; soil and rock; and site testing and sampling);
- third party witnessing of testing operations with production of associated reports;
- instrumentation and monitoring of earthworks and structures during construction and advice to site supervisory staff;
- installation and monitoring of instruments within landfill sites;
- design and checking of contractors' temporary works (for excavations below ground level) and de-watering schemes;
- site and laboratory testing for developers in relation to Section 278 agreements with Local Authorities;
- design of soakaway schemes for developers;
- inspection of quarries, sand pits, concrete batching plants, blacktop coating plants and pre-cast concrete yards for approval at construction stage and for annual certification; and
- use of AutoCAD (drawing and 3D modelling), HOLEbase (database for drawing borehole logs), KeyHOLE (AutoCAD interface with HOLEbase for plans and sections), LMS (laboratory management system), SLOPE (slope stability analysis) and a wide range of other geotechnical design and analysis software.
