Major Projects
We arrange extensive Public Consultation exercises (usually involving an exhibition and leaflets delivered to properties in the area) for large or complicated proposals (e.g. traffic calming, major maintenance work and bypasses). Details of some recent, current and future exercises are listed here:

Traffic Regulation Orders (e.g. speed limits, waiting restrictions) are always advertised in the area affected. They are also advertised in the local newspaper. Please let the appropriate Area Highways Team have your views, so that they can be reported to the corresponding Highways and Transportation Local Joint Committee, which will usually make the decision.
We consult appropriate people and organisations when reviewing policies. Examples of consultation exercises are the Walking Strategy Consultation and the Web Consultation Exercise.
We are always interested to hear about faults you see on Cheshire's roads - especially if they need an immediate response to avoid a safety issue developing. Please contact your Area Highways Team or use the online Fault Reporting Form.
A Web Consultation Exercise with the public (members of Cheshire Voice, a citizen's panel) was held in November 2002 to find out how easy our webpages are to read. We were keen to learn how effective our webpages are as a way of communicating and to hear the public's views on what would make them more effective. The majority of the comments received have resulted in changes to our webpages. Any further suggestions for improving this website are very welcome. Have you seen something on another site you would like to see included on ours? Have we got something wrong? What other information would be of use to you? Use our Feedback Form to let us know what you think. |
