The illegal practice of dumping unwanted articles in ditches, by the roadside, on disused land, etc usually occurs in rural areas. Not only is this environmentally offensive but it can become a health hazard. However, the clearing of such articles is not a County Council responsibility; please see below for telephone numbers in the District Councils, which can help with this problem.
