British Cycling - Disability Cycling - has a wealth of information on Paralympics, events, hand cycles, newsletters and articles.
Can Be Done - has an array of accessible tours and holidays for everyone.
Disability Rights Commission (DRC) - is a Government website to eliminate discrimination against disabled people, help people find out about their civil rights and to see more clearly how useful the internet can be as a source for information.
Disabled Drivers' Association - is a self help organisation run for disabled people by disabled people, concerned with the needs of disabled people primarily by encouraging greater independence through enhanced mobility.
Disabled Drivers' Motor Club (DDMC) - is a specialist voluntary organisation in the UK run by and for disabled people who have an interest in motoring and independent mobility.
Disabled Living Foundation (DLF) - are the leading UK disability charity providing advice and information on equipment (Assistive Technologies) for independent living. They provide completely impartial advice and information free.
Disabled Motorcyclists Association (DMA) - aim to support all disabled riders both past and present. Although based in the North West they will not refuse assistance to those who live outside the area.
Fieldfare - works with people with disabilities and countryside managers to improve access to the countryside for everyone.
Good Access Guide - is "the online guide to life, leisure and mobility", a unique directory of accessible leisure pursuits, holidays and travel, transport, mobility products and daily living services for disabled people, their families and friends.
Holiday Care - is a national charity based at Croydon (South London) and has been established for 22 years. They are supported by the UK's national tourist boards, the travel industry and a number of well known corporate, trusts and voluntary sector organisations.
Institute on Independent Living - promote the opportunities of persons with disabilities to gain more personal and political power, self-determination, full participation and equality through information, training materials, consultancy and technical assistance. The institute works in cooperation with other organisations which support these aims at local, national and international level, including self help groups in developing countries.
IRIS Vision Resource Centre - are a registered charity based in Crewe, they offer practical help, support and information for people with poor sight.
Mobility Information Service - is mostly run by volunteers, the majority of whom are themselves disabled and who have a desire to help others overcome their own mobility problems. Their mission is to be the UK's foremost resource for physically disabled people who drive or want to drive.
Mobility Roadshow - is the worlds largest outdoor mobility event, the motor show for disabled people. The Mobility Roadshow aims to give anyone with a mobility problem - drivers, passengers, adults or children - the chance to see what is available, to help solve that problem and most importantly to try out and evaluate the options in a 'no pressure' environment.
Motability Scheme - was established to provide disabled people with safe, reliable and affordable cars. Cars account for 99% of the Scheme's activities, with powered wheelchairs and scooters making up the balance.
Queen Elizabeth's Foundation - promotes equality for disabled people. Their aim is to encourage and enable people with disabilities to increase their independence and mobility and improve their life skills.
Riding for the Disabled Association - help provide disabled people with the opportunity to ride and/or carriage-drive to benefit their health and wellbeing.
Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation (RADAR) - was formed in 1977. It now has nearly 700 members including individuals, organisations of and for disabled people, corporate and public sector organisations. Although they work with organisations of all types, RADAR is itself an organisation of disabled people.
Royal National Institute of the Blind (RNIB) - are the UK's leading charity offering information, support and advice to over two million people with sight problems.
Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID) - have a vision of a world where deafness and hearing loss are not barriers to opportunity and fulfilment. They are the largest charity representing the 9 million deaf and hard of hearing people in the UK.
Justmobility - provides a forum for disabled motorists to buy and sell vehicles that have been expensively modified due to their disability. They also offer free advertising to help sell all types of mobility aids from wheelchairs, to seats, to hoists, to walking frames, to stair lifts.
