Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) -
is the professional body for those involved in the management and development of people.

Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) -
is one of the leading professional accountancy bodies in the UK and the only one which specialises in the public services. It is responsible for the education and training of professional accountants and for their regulation through the setting and monitoring of professional standards.

Cheshire Surveyors' Association (CSA) -
aims to develop the technical knowledge of anyone involved in the engineering business in Cheshire, through lectures, papers and site visits to places of engineering interest. It was set up by members of The Council, although it is not actually part of the Council and so is open to non-Council staff.

Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) -
seeks to advance the knowledge, practice and business of civil engineering, to promote the breadth and value of the civil engineer’s global contribution to sustainable, economic growth, and ethical standards, and to include in membership all those involved in the profession.

Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) -
is the professional body for Chartered Secretaries. A Chartered Secretary is qualified in company law, accounting, corporate governance, administration, company secretarial practice and management. They are trained to chart a course through regulation, legislation and best practice, and to deliver effective operations.

Institute of Highway Incorporated Engineers (IHIE) -
is the only national professional institution which puts incorporated engineers first. Nominated and licensed by the Engineering Council since 1972, IHIE is your road to IEng and EngTech, bringing together all practitioners in traffic and transportation engineering, highway design, maintenance and construction, delivering new opportunities, and improving members' competence for the benefit of themselves and society.

Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (ILT) -
is the professional body for those individuals and organisations that are involved in, working in, or that have an interest in, the logistics and transport sectors.

Institute of Road Safety Officers (IRSO) -
provides a central organisation for all persons actively engaged in the promotion of Road Safety

Institution of Highways and Transportation (IHT) -
is the foremost learned society in the UK concerned specifically with the design, construction, maintenance and operation of sustainable transport systems and infrastructure. It was originally established in 1930 as the Institution of Highway Engineers before changing its name in 1987 in recognition of sector developments.

Institution of Lighting Engineers (ILE) -
is the UK and Ireland's largest and most influential professional lighting association, dedicated solely to excellence in lighting. Founded in 1924 as the Association of Public Lighting Engineers, the ILE has evolved to include lighting designers, architects, consultants and engineers amongst its 2,500 strong membership.

Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) -
came into being in 1908 as the Concrete Institute, as the result of a much-felt need to define rules for the proper use of concrete in buildings. Incorporated in 1909, as a company limited by guarantee, it was renamed the Institution of Structural Engineers in 1922, when its areas of interest were extended to cover 'structures' of all kinds.

Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) -
is one of the most respected and high profile global ‘standards and membership’ organisations for professionals involved in land, valuation, real estate, construction and environmental issues.

Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) -
is a membership organisation, and registered charity, advancing the science and art of town planning for the benefit of the public.

Transport Planning Society (TPS) -
is a society for the benefit of the community, to facilitate, develop and promote knowledge, understanding and best practice in transport planning and provide a focus for all those engaged in it, from a full range of relevant backgrounds and other professional affiliations.
