Proposed Traffic Calming Schemes Homepage

Main heading

Sub-heading

The scheme below has been completed, the information is for reference purposes only.

Elton Village Traffic Calming

Thank you to everyone who filled in the questionnaire and contacted us about the proposed traffic calming scheme. All comments received were very helpful. These views were considered by the Council and it has been decided to proceed with the construction of the scheme shown on drawing no T1/54790/01.

The proposed scheme along Ince Lane and School Lane includes the provision of speed cushions, raised crossing tables and a kerbed build out.

The work is to be completed in three phases and will be constructed under temporary road closures. Diversion routes will be provided for through traffic. Vehicles which are used for the conveyance of  persons, goods or merchandise to or from any premise situated along Ince Lane and School Lane will be able to gain access and this will be signed as part of the diversion route. It is anticipated that the work will take no longer than three months to complete.

If you wish to make any comments or would like any further information about the scheme, please do not hesitate to contact me - Carl Amos. Email: carl.amos@cheshire.gov.uk   Telephone: 01244 973607.
