Sub-heading

a530 sign 1.   Where are the crashes happening?

2.   Most crashes occur due to poor judgement and lack of concentration when:
  •  joining and leaving the road
  • travelling at inappropriate speeds and distances

3.   Typical drivers who cause the crashes are:

  • local (from CW1, CW2 or CW5 postcode areas)
  • sober
  • aged 30-50 - turning right onto or off Middlewich Road
  • aged 20-40, driving within the speed limit, but at a speed and distance that doesn't allow enough time to react. Crashes often involve driving into the back of another car.

4.   How to reduce your risk on this route:

  • take an extra look when joining and leaving the route
  • keep your distance and follow the 2 second rule
