Pass Plus Xtra is based on the nationally recognised Pass Plus course aimed at new drivers (more information can be found about Pass Plus at their website www.passplus.org.uk.)
Pass Plus Xtra covers all the on-road modules of the Pass Plus course:
- driving in towns
- driving in all weathers
- driving on rural roads
- driving at night
- driving on dual carriageways
- driving on motorways

Pass Plus Xtra also includes a 2.5 hour theory session that must be completed before you can book any on-road training sessions.
And on completion of Pass Plus Xtra, you will usually be entitled to substantial discount on your car insurance*.
Free Course places
The Road Safety Unit will shortly be offering once again, a limited number of free places on their Pass Plus Xtra Courses on a first-come-first-served basis in the following areas of the County:

To qualify for a free place, you must:
- be aged 17-25 years old
- live in one of the boroughs listed above
