Local Authority Funding
Deadline
Rolling programme for each grant scheme.
Description
Local Authorities in Cheshire may operate a small grants scheme for local community projects. The availability and level of grant will vary from authority to authority (if indeed a scheme does operate).
For example, applying for funding from a local authority may be summarised as follows:
- Grants are usually for 'small' amounts (up to £500).
- There may be no application form - applicants have to write a short letter to explain their project.
- There are no deadlines - applications are dealt with, more or less, upon receipt.
- Individuals may be eligible to apply (e.g. if they are a sportsperson entering a national competition).
Also, Town and Parish Councils may be able to provide a modest contribution to projects in their locality.
Minimum and Maximum Size of Grant
The minimum and maximum amounts will vary from authority to authority.
Matched Funding Requirements
The level will vary from authority to authority. If not specified, a contribution in cash or 'in kind' can increase the chances of success.
Key Criteria
The criteria will vary from authority to authority. |
