Carnegie United Kingdom Trust - The Carnegie United Kingdom Trust provides grants of between £1,000 and £30,000 to support projects for up to three years. Grants are available for projects to enhance the creativity of people, to support rural development, widen the use of village halls as centres of the community and to encourage the active participation of young people in public decision making and increase their role in education, health, the community or more widely.

Cheshire Rural Trust - direct assistance for community groups seeking to improve the quality of life of their members.

Help unemployed and inactive people enter work.

Provide opportunities for people at a disadvantage in the labour market.

Promote lifelong learning.

Develop the skills of employed people.

Gulbenkian Foundation - grants for community groups in both rural and urban settings which are developing new strategies for neighbourhood and area regeneration, including new forms of service delivery and social enterprise.
The Foundation will consider projects offering sustainable solutions to local environmental issues, particularly encouraging a wider awareness of sustainability and personal responsibility.

J Paul Getty - the Trust aims to fund projects which alleviate poverty and misery within the U.K. The emphasis is on self-help and enabling people to reach their potential. The Trustees favour small community and local projects which make good use of volunteers.
There are 3 main areas which can benefit from the funding:

Community Spaces - an opportunity to make improvements to open spaces in your neighbourhood and create valuable places for the whole community to enjoy.

The Henry Smith Charity - grants are made on a one-off basis for specific projects e.g. refurbishment of a building or purchase of specialist equipment.
