Introduction
Santune House is a Specialist Residential and Day Centre situated in Shavington, near Crewe. We provide residential care for 14 older people with dementia, who have been assessed as needing short break care. We also provide a five day per week day service. The centre stands in its own grounds with landscaped gardens.
Short break residential care can include respite care, emergency, assessment or rehabilitation. Santune House has 14 single bedrooms and one double room. The building consists of 3 wings, with two lounge/dining rooms. These are equipped with tea making facilities where people can make a drink at any time of the day. Assistance with this is available if needed. A full menu is provided, giving variety and choice; any special dietary need can be catered for. Visitors are welcome.
Specialist Services
Santune House provides day service places for up to 12 people on weekdays. Day Service support can help you regain confidence and introduce you to new friends. A varied activity programme is offered to encourage socialisation, communication, physical and mental stimulation whilst providing an opportunity to share skills, memories and enjoyment.

How to Access the Service
All of the services at the Community Support Centre are only available to people following an assessment and agreement that they meet the criteria of being in ‘substantial and critical need’. To request an assessment please contact the relevant Access Team.
