The Council operates a number of Community Support Centres and day services throughout the County aimed at helping older people to live independent lives.

Services offered include:
  • Day Service
  • Short Break Care - temporary stays for an individual at a centre to provide emergency, rehabilitative and respite care
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Dementia Care.

The Council aims to provide these services with a focus on the individual, so their needs and preferences are met as far possible.

How do I Receive Help at a Centre?

Before Social Services can help you, an assessment must be done to find out what your needs are. Following this you may be put forward to receive help at a Community Support Centre.
