About the Centre

Bexton Court is a specialist centre for people living with dementia. It is situated in a residential area next to the Community Hospital in Knutsford. It provides a short break residential service for 23 older people or for up to 4 people over the age of 55 and for one person with a learning disability. Short break residential care can include respite, emergency, assessment, rehabilitation or intermediate care. Bexton Court has 23 single bedrooms. It also provides a weekday day service for a maximum of 12 people. The centre is a single storey building which stands in its own grounds and has a sensory garden with patio area which service users, visitors and relatives can enjoy.

The aim of the Centre is to assist people to retain or regain their independence, supporting them to remain in their own homes, wherever possible, for as long as possible. Our service aims to provide a person-centred approach for people living with dementia. The home has a positive social environment in which the client can experience relative well being. We involve the client and their family in the process of gathering and reviewing information about their needs and wishes. The service we offer is flexible and changed to meet individual needs. A full extensive menu is provided giving variety and choice, any special dietary needs can be catered for. All of the care team join the clients residing at Bexton Court for meals in the dining room. Mealtimes are treated as a social occasion and a wide variety of foods are presented and enjoyed.

How to Access the Service
