Cheshire County Council has been considering changing the way residential short break and day services for older people are delivered. A consultation period took place which ended on 19 October. An information pack can be downloaded below which gives the background to this. A consultation report summarising the findings and amended proposals is available. As a result of the information, there was an amended set of proposals recommending a phased closure of three residential and day service centres. The Executive met on 31 January and having considered all the information, decided that this information should now be shared with the two newly established Joint Local Reorganisation Implementation Committees for their views and that the proposals should then be recommended to the developing new authorities. |
