A varied activity programme is offered to encourage socialisation, communication, physical and mental stimulation whilst providing an opportunity to share skills, experiences, memories and enjoyment.
The programme may include individual support as well as working together in groups.
Specialist Services:
a. Rehabilitation
We have an Occupational Therapist who assesses needs and plans individual programmes regarding mobility and functional skills relating to daily living.
We also have a qualified aromatherapist who offers treatment following assessment.
b. Weaver Group
This is a service for older people with learning disabilities. It is a small group which provides an opportunity to continue learning by encouraging communication, interaction and the development of social skills.
c. Bridgewater Group
This service is for people with any form of dementia or similar condition which affects memory. There is a strong focus on orientation and reminiscence coupled with a variety of appropriate short activities. We promote a relaxed atmosphere, respect and value individuality, encouraging spontaneity, fun and laughter.
