Concessionary Fare Information for Bus & Rail Travel - Cheshire, Halton & Warrington
The new English National Concessionary Travel scheme came into operation on 1st April 2008. The scheme gives people aged 60 or more, or with a disability, entitlement to free off-peak travel on local bus services throughout England. In order to take advantage of this, you have to obtain a new smartcard bus pass. The old passes will remain valid until September 2008 for travel in the local area. If you wish to travel outside your local area you will need to contact your district council for a temporary national pass.
This Formal Scheme Definition provides details of the agreed Cheshire scheme.
