The fleet consists of three Bluebird RE's, with 60 seats, four Iveco Scholarbus 24’s which seat 68 (pictured above), and the Turkish-built BMC seating 60 completing the fleet.

Each pupil has their own particular seat, according to a seating plan agreed between the pupil, Transport & Regeneration and the School at the start of term. A small group of regular drivers keep a daily register of passengers and complete a daily sheet to monitor behaviour. Any issues are raised and dealt with accordingly so that pupils can travel to school in a calm, pleasant and safe environment. The buses are fitted with CCTV in order to help with this. They also have seatbelts and radios.

In between the school runs, the Yellow Buses are available for schools to hire for one-off or regular trips (e.g. swimming trips, theatre visits, trips to outdoor centres). For further information on hiring the buses, please call June MacDonald, Louise Ward or Val Pate on 01244 977273 in the Transport & Regeneration Service.
