In providing information on alternative waste disposal facilities, The Council as waste disposal authority gives no warranty, guarantee or assurance that the operator’s listed or their named facilities are approved by the authority or are suitable for the particular type of waste being disposed of.
It is for users of these operators, either as carriers of waste or in respect of their disposal facilities, to satisfy themselves that the selected operator can lawfully accept the waste being disposed of and that they are fully compliant with the Environmental Protection Act 1990 - Duty of Care requirements.
Clarification on these matters in any case of doubt can be requested from the Environment Agency on 08708 506 506.
