Our Purpose

We aim to support the development of third sector organisations by:

• improving co-ordination of the support available from the Council
• developing policy around Third Sector funding and investment
• providing funding to promote active communities
• investing in third sector infrastructure organisations
• providing funding to promote equality and access to justice

We have corporate responsibility for Third Sector funding and investment policy. We monitor funding and investment in the Third Sector from all areas of the Council. We administer over £550,000 of funding and investment in the Third Sector. This funding and investment is through four distinct streams: Cheshire Active Communities Fund Funding for the Delivery of Advice Services Funding for Support to the Voluntary Sector Funding to Promote Race Equality
